Super Size My ASS

Sunday I went to see the closing night of the DC Film Festival which showed the short film The Open Window (crazy!) and the feature film Super Size Me (ASS KICKING!)

Super Size Me is seriously one of the best movies I've seen in a long time. It was honest, engaging and funny as pants! Any documentary that can cause a whole theater to gasp, laugh and scream back at the screen gets an A in my book. I will go again with anyone who wants to see it. Shit, I will buy your ticket, its THAT GOOD! about the movie

The director, Morgan Spurlock was there to do a Q&A after the movie. A lot of people brought up a lot of great points about things he didn't address in the movie. Here's my take. He could have either done a huge general sweep of all the issues that surround the fast food world (cheap food makes it easier for poorer people to buy. healthy food is expensive etc...) or he could pick one issue that concerns everyone (basic health) and really rip it apart. Spurlock is incredible and I can't wait to see what he's planning on doing next!

The reason I feel so many people really connect with the movie is because Spurlock seems so approachable. He isn't preaching or judging anyone. He's simply holding up the facts and asking people to think logically about what they're putting in their bodies. This isn't like Michael Moore, who's approach isn't for everyone.
